What we collect, in plain English.

We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't fingerprint you. Kids Zone has no child profiles, forms, or submissions. The rest of this page tells you exactly what the site stores, what third parties can receive, and how to clear or withdraw it.

1. What we collect

Anonymous pageviews via Umami. When analytics is configured, the site can count pages, referrers, country-level location, and device class without accounts, cookies, personal data, or a cross-site profile.
No Briefing email collection. The planned Bangtan Briefing has no newsletter provider, subscriber database, working waitlist mailbox, or email form. The site does not request or store your address.
localStorage on your device. Small preference values stored only in your browser. We never read them from the server. Full list under "Cookies used" below.

2. What we don't collect

No ads. No advertising network. No retargeting pixels.
No third-party fingerprinting libraries.
No social-media tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, no TikTok pixel, no X tracker).
No data sold or rented to anyone, ever.
Kids Zone has no child profiles or submissions. The /kids page has no forms, names, photos, chats, accounts, or child-facing submissions. The same optional anonymous site analytics and device-only preferences described here can still apply.
We do not run an application server or intentionally store, aggregate, or analyze IP addresses ourselves. Hosting providers still receive request metadata for delivery and security under their own terms.

3. Cookies and local storage

Everything below lives on your device. Clear your browser data and it's gone. We do not set tracking cookies, and we do not read these values from the server.

btsarmy_karaoke_playlist	Songs saved to your private karaoke playlist.
btsarmy_saved_moods	Mood shelves you saved from Songs by Mood.
btsarmy_saved_stories	Story Wall entries saved on this device.
btsarmy_journal	Private journal entries written in the Care space.
btsarmy_quiet_mode	Your site-wide quiet-mode preference.
btsau:community:quietMode	The Community page's quiet-mode preference.
btsarmy_sleepy_mode	Whether Today should use its gentler sleepy view.
btsarmy_today_zone	The time-zone region selected for the Today page.
army-path:last	Your most recent quiz path, so you can revisit it.
bts-freebie-bias-v1	The member or OT7 card you privately saved as your bias.

The configured Umami tracking code is cookieless. These browser preferences are local storage, not server-side tracking cookies, and they are not used to follow you across sites.

4. Your rights

Clear local data anytime. Open your browser's site-data settings and wipe everything for btsarmy.io. All device-only preferences listed on this page reset.
No waitlist record exists. There is no automated mailing list, subscriber database, or launch-request mailbox to remove you from today.
A verified contact path is pending. We will publish a working privacy-rights address here after Cloudflare email routing is configured and tested. Until then, the app has no accounts, profiles, subscriber records, or form database; hosting and embed providers handle their own records under their policies.

5. Third-party services

We try to keep the third-party footprint small. Here is the full list as of this review date:

Cloudflare Pages hosting. Current releases are served through Cloudflare Pages. During the domain cutover, a legacy Manus deployment can temporarily serve the custom domain. Hosting providers receive ordinary request metadata under their own terms, but cannot read the preference values stored in your browser's localStorage.
Umami analytics (umami.is). It runs only when configured and uses cookieless, anonymous measurement rather than personal profiles.
Embeds. Some pages embed YouTube videos or Spotify players. Those embeds may set their own cookies and load resources from their domains. We don't control or read those cookies. If you'd rather not load them, your browser's tracker-blocking will handle them like any other embed.

6. Social embeds and video players

Some member and news pages show posts straight from the artists' own verified accounts, social embeds from Instagram, X, and TikTok, plus YouTube video players. These are loaded directly from those platforms, not from us, so a few things are worth knowing:

When one of these embeds loads, or when you click to play it, that platform sets its own cookies and receives your IP address and the page URL you're on. That data goes to Instagram/Meta, X, TikTok/ByteDance, or YouTube/Google under their own privacy policies, not this one. We can't read or control those cookies.
We reduce this where we can: ordinary video embeds are click-to-load or lazy-loaded, and YouTube players use the youtube-nocookie.com privacy-enhanced domain. One exception is the muted decorative YouTube background on the desktop homepage, which can load automatically after the page detects a desktop viewport. Loading any player still shares request data with YouTube under its policy.
If you'd rather not load them at all, your browser's tracker-blocking or content-blocking will handle these embeds like any other third-party widget; the page still works without them and falls back to a plain link to the original post.
Album art is self-hosted. Cover images we display are served from our own files, not pulled from a third-party CDN, so viewing them sends no data to anyone but our hosting provider.

7. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change and stamp every revision with a new review date. Material corrections remain visible in the public correction log. The planned Bangtan Briefing may summarize policy changes after it launches; it is not sending today.

8. Last reviewed

This policy was last reviewed on July 28, 2026. If a change has happened since and you noticed it before we did, check correction intake status.

9. Contact

The role-based privacy mailbox is temporarily unavailable while domain email routing is configured. This section will show the tested address only after a real message can be received. Please do not send sensitive information to an unverified @btsarmy.io address.
